A photoshoot at Mambo Beach takes place on the south-east side of Willemstad, near Bapor Kibra. Behind the sand lies the boulevard with shops, terraces and hotels, and Lions Dive sits right on the water.
Parking is free. The beach runs along beach clubs and loungers. There is no closing time like on the west-side bays: in the evening the boulevard stays open.

Mambo is the place for a shoot that stays close to where you’re staying. If you’re staying here, you already know the surroundings. The look is more lifestyle: a beach with life around it. That fits if this is your holiday spot.
It is a busy beach. People walk back and forth, the loungers stand in rows and a lot is happening on the boulevard. Finding a calm spot sometimes takes a moment, and that corner shifts: what works at four o’clock is full by five. We stay close to the water or at the head of the beach, away from the busiest terraces.
A family of up to about five works here. Larger gets harder: the more people in the frame, the more often someone else walks through the photo. For a large group I’d rather look at a wider, quieter beach.
Looking for calm? Then a beach photoshoot in Curaçao fits better, for example at Marie Pampoen or another quiet east-side spot. You can also stay here and take the last light.
