I’m Albert Foekema, a photographer since 2017. I live with my family in Willemstad, in Jan Thiel, and I shoot from there across the island. Families, a larger group, couples, and a proposal. No stiff setups, and no long list of directions. Being yourselves is the point.
Whether it’s a family session or a couple shoot on the beach, we pick a spot that fits and we take our time. Clients often mention the communication, how I work with kids, the feel of the session, and that the photos come back quickly.

How I photograph

Straightforward, with attention to the moment. I’m not after a posed “perfect” picture. The edit stays warm and recognizable: color, light, crop. No heavy filter.

I focus on family photoshoots, extended family sessions, couple / love shoots, and moments like a proposal. Soft beach light, or the color of Pietermaai and Otrobanda, the place follows you, not the other way around.

How a session works

You send the form. I get in touch, and we lock a date and a location. On the day we work at an easy pace. After that I select and edit; you get the photos digitally, in high resolution.

FAQ

You don’t need to be. I’ll give simple direction and we take our time. You don’t have to “know how.”

Yes. You choose the session and pay. The person you gift it to gets in touch later to pick a date. Giving a Curaçao photoshoot as a gift

Light rain is rarely a problem. If it’s a washout or there’s lightning, we reschedule at no charge, or we shift the time. Photoshoots in Curaçao in bad weather

I take a $50 deposit to hold the date. The balance is due in cash, US dollars, before we start.
