Choosing the spot together
Before the shoot, we talked a lot about where it should happen. Beach, city or both? It became Pietermaai, with its colorful facades, historic buildings and city atmosphere. We saved the beach for the end.
Through Pietermaai
We started in Pietermaai at 4:00 pm. We walked through the neighborhood together, and along the way I told them about the streets and the special corners. It became more than a photoshoot: they also saw a side of Curaçao that visitors don’t always find. Every street gave a different backdrop, with room to laugh together and just be themselves.
Ending at Jan Thiel
Toward the end of the afternoon, we headed to the beach at Jan Thiel for the last photos by the sea. After the colors of the city, the beach gave a completely different set: sand, water and calm. So from one shoot, they have two completely different series.
