My way of working – Loveshoot Curaçao

Via the book a photoshoot page you simply request a loveshoot on Curaçao. You let me know the desired date, the type of loveshoot (proposal, anniversary, just because) and any wishes such as location, atmosphere or time (for example golden hour).

After your request I will contact you quickly to discuss everything.

On the day itself I arrive well in advance and I have already spotted a few romantic spots. We start relaxed, let you get used to it and build it shot by shot. This way it feels like a romantic outing instead of a photoshoot.

Afterwards we say goodbye. Within 2-3 working days I send the first previews, so you can already enjoy them. The complete edited series will be delivered within 1 to 2 weeks via a personal download link.

How do I prepare for a loveshoot (for example clothing or nerves)?

Many couples feel a little nervous at the beginning – that is completely normal and part of it. Talk together about what you want to radiate: romantic, playful, cool or very intimate. Choose clothing in which you both feel comfortable and that matches each other (for example the same colour family, but not identical). Comfort is more important than perfect matching – you need to be able to move freely and hug.

I always start relaxed, with a short conversation and a joke, so the tension disappears quickly. Take something tasty with you if that helps, and trust that: after a few minutes you will already feel completely at ease. I fully adapt to your rhythm.

Is a loveshoot suitable for a marriage proposal or anniversary?

Absolutely – and I think that is really special! A loveshoot is perfect for a marriage proposal (I can discreetly think along about the moment and location), an anniversary (for example 5, 10 or 25 years together) or simply a romantic celebration of your love.

We align everything with what is important to you: a surprise moment, a special ring, a bottle of bubbles afterwards or just an intimate walk. I make sure it stays natural and relaxed, so the emotion is captured truly and purely. Tell me your story, then we will make something unique out of it.

What is the best time for a loveshoot on Curaçao (for example sunset)?

The best time depends on what you want to radiate, but sunset (golden hour) is by far the favourite among couples – the warm light gives a romantic, magical glow and is beautiful on Curaçao. We often plan the shoot late in the afternoon, so we start in soft light and end with that beautiful orange/pink sky at the beach.

Other good options are early morning (fresh and quiet) or a cloudy day for soft, diffused light. I always check the weather and suggest what suits your location and story best. Just say: sunset, morning or something else?
