As a Curaçao photographer I have captured many people: from personal portraits to professional profile photos. Every portrait shoot is unique. One person feels at ease immediately, another needs a little time to relax.
We start relaxed, play with light and surroundings, and build it shot by shot. No forced poses or unnatural positions, but light directions so you recognise yourself in the result. Whether it is for a powerful LinkedIn photo, a personal portrait for at home or simply because it feels right: it is all about authenticity and an expression that fits.
My photography is characterised by a soft, natural look and neutral editing. But the most important thing is that you feel comfortable during the shoot. With a joke or a quiet moment, the most beautiful portrait is created.

My way of working – Portrait shoot Curaçao
Via the book a photoshoot page you simply book a portrait shoot on Curaçao. You let me know the desired date, the type of portrait (personal/professional) and any wishes such as location, atmosphere or clothing style.
After your request I will contact you quickly to discuss everything. On the day itself I arrive well in advance and I have already spotted a few beautiful locations. We start relaxed, test what works with light and posture, and build it up calmly. This way it feels like a pleasant conversation instead of a photoshoot.
Afterwards we say goodbye. Within 2 to 3 working days I send the first previews, so you can already enjoy them. The complete edited series will be delivered within 1 to 2 weeks via a personal download link.

What if I have camera anxiety or feel uncomfortable in front of the camera?
Many people feel a little awkward at the beginning. And that is completely normal. I always start relaxed, with a short conversation, so you have a moment to get used to it. No strict instructions or forced poses, but light directions and plenty of room to be yourself. Often you notice after a few minutes that it simply becomes fun. I fully adapt to your pace, so the result looks authentic and confident.
What should I wear for a portrait shoot?
Choose clothing in which you feel confident and comfortable – that is what you radiate in the photo. Go for solid colours or subtle textures (no large logos, bright prints or thin stripes). For business: often dark blue/grey/black with a nice shirt or blouse. For personal: something that shows your personality. Make sure everything is clean, ironed and fits well. I am happy to think along and give tips based on your style and goal (LinkedIn, personal or something else)!
Is a portrait shoot also suitable for professional profile photos or LinkedIn?
Absolutely! Many of my portraits are specifically for professional use: a professional, approachable LinkedIn photo, website profile or business card. We choose a calm, representative look with natural light and a setting that suits your industry (for example office, park or studio-like). The result is authentic and confident, without looking stiff or impersonal. Tell me your goal, then we align everything with that.
